You... you are so much higher than you think. Imagine a pedestal that shoots up into the fluffy white clouds. There is someone high up on that pedestal, and you are much higher and looking downward at that person. Yes that person, that individual way up on the towering pedestal is you, a part of you. And another part of you is up even higher, higher than you can sense, and peering down at the other part of yourself – the part of yourself who is waiting to see what happens next. |
Next what happens is very much up to you know who. Are you still down on the ground looking up? Then you must decide if you want to stay there on the ground, or do you want to begin to climb. Imagine there is a high mountain before you. When I do this, I think of it as climbing the "mountain of self-awareness". As we climb, we note each and every handhold, every foothold. After awhile we come upon a flat area large enough to sit and rest a short while. Gather yourself and look out over the sky and landscape. The higher you climb, the more you can see. Continue your climb.1 |
Never thought I'd live to see forty. Long past forty now. Life has been a series of adventures. From being bitten by a dog when I was four, and right up until this present moment, I've endured and enjoyed one adventure after another. Was in Vietnam in 1971, and after that went to Africa a couple of times – Ethiopia. Taught school (basic electricity and electronics), managed a Quality Control department, drove everything from taxis to buses to aircraft loaders and semi tractor-trailer. Even earned a pilot's license. First learned to meditate and self-hypnotize while I was in Vietnam. As I write this it is my present moment, and thank you very much for reading. Enough about me, though, because as you read these words this is your present moment. Continue to soar!2 |

Would like to give you something to take home with you, something you will cherish. The only thing I can think of is Love. Not the kind of love you give to somebody, not the kind of love somebody gives you, but would like you to feel my deeply felt love for this world, this Earth where we live and thrive. That is the only thing I can think of that is worth the time and trouble you take to read this. Thank you for reading, and thank you for feeling this love! |
